Capital of Guangdong, the most prosperous province in China

This is the statue of the 5 rams, symbol of Guangzhou. They were said to be the God of good harvest.

This is the Guangzhou museum building. This restored wooden structure itself is over 1,000 years old !

With Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong, about an hour away from my city by bus, I do visit Guangzhou quite regularly. It has busy shopping streets, many old and important historical sites. Its history dates back thousands of year to the time of SanGuo (or as called ‘Samkok’ in Thailand). Today it’s a bustling mega city with population and migrant workers close to 15 millions !

A little child fascinated by the golden clock in glass case. On the left is what’s left of a church clock.

A map showing the travel route of Zheng He’s naval fleet around the World. It was believed that he discovered America 70 yrs before Columbus!

This is the front of ‘Chen Jia Si’ or Temple of Chen’s Clan. One of the most beautiful temple in Guangzhou.

Any idea what his hand sign mean? ^_^
