In early Autumn 2004, my company arranged a bus trip to Guilin. I arrived Guilin early for the boat trip along Lijiang river. It was a cloudy day to begin with so I didn’t expect to get many good shots. Anyway, about half way into the ride, the sun broke through layers of thick cloud and gave me a brief window of opportunity to capture the scenery’s magnificent beauty...
You can see a fishing net on his bamboo raft. His clothing looks like a business man though!
People still washes their clothes in the river here. I have washing machine so I don’t get to see this often.
